Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy, LLC is Hiring a Procurement Clerk Near Council, IA

Description:

Summary

Responsible for processing orders for materials as directed by department management. Manage the stock of equipment, parts, and supplies in warehouses. Be able to utilize appropriate machinery. Provides routine administrative support to department manager.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain system of ordering materials, supplies, and equipment while utilizing maintenance management software.
  • Maintain full stock records, verify deliveries for accuracy, label and shelve parts in correct stockroom.
  • Communicate with all departments to order items as needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, request and review quotes for best price and quality.
  • Write purchase orders for all inventory items and supplies
  • Checks all deliveries/packages and distributes appropriately. Unload delivery trucks as needed.
  • Organizes storage and cataloguing supplies/equipment in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with standardization compliance of routing guidelines.
  • Write work orders as needed, apply used inventory to work orders.
  • Pull inventory stock for maintenance department.
  • Organize and track part and supplies for projects, work with project contractors to communicate location and delivery of their incoming orders.
  • Track rolling stock, schedule service and repairs as needed.
  • Periodic physical count of inventory items to audit to confirm CMMS accuracy.
  • Track and order bin stock as needed including bolts, pipe fittings, gaskets, grease and oil.
  • Order and stock breakroom supplies.
  • Liaise with other staff to ensure that correct ordering procedures are adhered to and support other staff in maintaining correct stock control procedures.
  • Runs for parts and supplies as needed.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments when needed, set up appropriate transportation.
  • Available for contact after hours for part location information.
  • Provides backup to the Procurement and CMMS Manager position.
  • Provide information and support to the Maintenance Manager as needed, including repair history, inventory availability and documentation.
  • Drive appropriate machinery safely
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as required in the all areas of the plant.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Requires basic ability to identify parts and equipment.
  • Requires knowledge of plant purchasing and expense tracking.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others and work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel software skills, database, data entry (10 key skills)
  • Exemplify the high standards necessary to accomplish the goals of this Company.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Data entry experience required.
  • Prior purchasing, inventory or warehouse experience preferred.
  • CMMS experience preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift and /or move up to 75lbs
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders
  • Ability to work in outside conditions and in adverse weather
  • Walking
  • Standing
  • Sweeping

Working Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to
  • work near moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to dusty conditions.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to high noise environments.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather in all conditions.
  • The employee will regularly be exposed to chemicals used in the process.
